Good sushi on the island?

Take out sushi usually sucks, but Nisen in Woodbury is an exception...food looks and tastes great even though they still use the fake green plastic stuff to separate the rolls....

Don't make me pick a favorite please...

Another Toy Warning!

While Floam is fun to play with, it is basically made of the same filling that is used in bean bags...so while your kid will enjoy molding it into things that are supposed to resemble dinosaurs, cars, etc..., you'll spend the rest of the day cleaning up the pieces, or even worse, if you have small kids at home, on the phone with poison control after you realize that they ate a bunch of the pieces....

Warning: Hazardous Toy from China

Seems like all the concerns about toys from China has died down this year, but my kids received a toy for Hanukkah that warrants a post, hopefully i can save other parents from the anguish and anxiety that it caused in my house.

Within 10 minutes of listening to the repetitive noises, and watching the Ken Kesey-esque psychadellic lights, you'll be ready to jump out a window.

If someone offers you one, my recommendation is to say "thank you SO much, but I already have 2 at home" or something like that....
